Known for her 'sophisticated sound spectrum' and 'enthralling performance' (Darmstädter Echo) Diane Hunger frequently performs as soloist and chamber musician throughout Europe and the United States. Recently she could be heard as soloist with the Hamburger Symphoniker (Germany), the Filarmonica Banatul (Romania), Lubbock Symphony (TX), the Society of New Music Allstars (NY), the Fredonia Wind Symphony (NY), as well as the Syracuse Wind Ensemble (NY) and the chamber players at the Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music. Highlights in the past have included a solo performance in Carnegie Hall, residencies at many festivals including the National Music Festival, as well as tours in North America, France, Scotland, Spain, Poland, Holland, Germany, and Colombia.
Diane teaches saxophone at Syracuse University and the State University of New York at Fredonia, and holds the tenor chair in the critically acclaimed MANA Quartet. MANA's CD 'Vide Supra' is published through Mark Records, where also her first solo CD will be published this winter.
An avid transcriber of old masterworks, her transcriptions have been published by Oxford University Press. This year Diane founded her own online publishing company ESURIO Media.
Diane Hunger received a Doctorate from the Eastman School of Music in 2014. While at Eastman, Diane was awarded the prestigious Performer's Certificate and won the 2011 Concerto Competition.
